good looks for murray making it to his first grand slam semi. my uk peeps may care more than others but its cool nonetheless. will likely have to face nadal though...his quarter-final is on court shortly. if anyone in europe wants to watch the tennis live and hasn't got it on their tv then hit me on a pm my homie just hooked up a program and some links to stream the tennis live. i'm watching it now

Yeah well done Murray for reaching the semis which is the best in a slam he has ever done. He is also guaranteed the number 4 ranking after this tournament which is the highest of any British player in the open era. To me when you take into account its Murrays first semi-final in a grand slam and his no.4 in the world just shows the sheer dominance and downright brutality of both federer and nadal over the last 5 years. The next players aren’t even close in that respect. I think Murray has really got a good chance against nadal especially on hard surface and especially because nadal has surely got to be fatigued at this point, the guy is a phenomenal physical guy but he isn’t a robot, the guys played so much tennis over the last 5 months. I predict a federer Murray final but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if roddick beats both djokovic (who I can’t stand) and federer to reach the final. The guy is so hard to break serve that he always gives himself a chance and is obviously playing good tennis in the tournament so far.

I read a fact the other day that federer has reached 18 consecutive grand slam semi-finals!!!! that is unfuckwitable. 18 consecutive!!!! damm that’s crazy steffi graff is the next closest with 13 consecutive and to put it into perspective nadal with the awesome year he is having has only reached 2 consecutive semi-finals (he won both tournaments). I truly believe federer is a legend of the game and would like him to surpass or at least equal pete sampraes record of 14 slams. I think it will be a credit to himself and to fans of tennis in general.

I also think this is the year nadal has definitely shed the label of being a clay court specialist. Like all good players he can now play the tennis he plays irrespective of the surface.

same! :p i just never really knew about sites for that before. it beats not being able to watch it at all. i been using some i-sports channel which streams at about 400kbps through sopcast and has english commentary. there are some higher bandwidth streams at like 700kbps that would prolly look a lot better but you need yet another program called tvants for some of those.

i display it on a secondary monitor that is a CRT tv anyway so it doesn't look half as bad as on a LCD screen. i have a really hard time seeing the ball in midair on the LCD cause of all the compression artifacts...

i really hope murray can do something against nadal but it's gonna take a really high grade performance to rattle him and actually beat him. that fish dude did good for the first set but he couldn't keep up for any longer than that and nadal came up with ways to break him down pretty quickly. murray is one of the dudes that's beaten him more recently though so it should be interesting. my favourite kinda players are the more rough/aggressive/hustling ones so murray/nadal should be a good game.

murry 2 sets up against nadal! incredible! his playing really well but its just been rained off which can only help nadal. roger booked his place as i predicted.
