not enought Peerrrrzzian cock suckers in Tehrangelis for ya?
King Tech Quadafi:
Professor, it seems like u missed my point
my point is that the term Persian is not solely reflective of Iranians. Tajiks and some Afghans are just as Persian as Iranians, but there are some Iranians who are dismissive of non Iranians as Persians. So I pointed out examples of Persian notables who are claimed by Iranians as Persians, but others from the same place are not
Comprende?>
Btw, can you provide proof that the term Persian exists in Farsi?....Because I will stand corrected if you do. I have never heard anyone say MA PERSIAN ASTOM..SHUMA PERSIAN ASTEE. ETC

I understand what you were trying to say, but the way you wrote it might have been misinterpreted by other readers.
Nomenclature
Persian, the more widely used name of the language in English, is an Anglicized form derived from Latin *Persianus < Latin Persia < Greek Πέρσις Pérsis, a Hellenized form of Old Persian Parsa. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the term Persian seems to have been first used in English in the mid-16th century.[9] Native Persian speakers call it "Fārsi" (local name) or Parsi. Farsi is the arabicized form of Parsi, due to a lack of the /p/ phoneme in Standard Arabic.

Fars is the original homeland of the Persian people. The native name of the Persian language is Fârsi or Pârsi. Persia and Persian both derive from the Hellenized form Πέρσις Persis of the root word Pârs. The Old Persian word was Pârsâ.

Your assumption is right.
Ma Irani nestom. Afghan astom. Pashtun to be exact. Kamak farsi yad gereftem, kho Farsi E Afghanistan hast. Its more "Kitabi" than the Iranian farsi. Maybe that explains the slight differences in pronounciation.
