They shouldn't be ashamed to be from Iran though. A lot of people are really interested to meet, get to know, and be friends with an Iranian. They shouldn't assume everyone just thinks they are a terrorist or something. It's usually the opposite that people are curious and would like to know more about them. So it's better to open up. And Iranians should be proud that their country hasn't bent over and taken it in the ass from America like some other countries have.

This is a very tricky situationIran refers to a country, and every citizen of Iran is called an IranianIranians however refer to themselves as Persian which is the name of the ancient empire. But its actually a mistake, an attempt to monopolize the use of that termnot true, it is absolutely NOT a mistake: In the outside world, the official name of Iran from the 6th century BC until 1935 was Persia or similar foreign language translations (La Perse, Das Persien, Perzie, etc.). In that year, Reza Shah asked the international community to call the country by the name "Iran". A few years later, some Persian scholars protested to the government that changing the name had separated the country from its past, so in 1959 Mohammad Reza Shah announced that both terms could officially be used interchangeably. If we use the Persian empire as a barometer of what is considered a Persian, then Azeris, Armenians (who actually speak an ancient Persian language), Kurds, Iranians, Tajiks and Pashtuns are considered Persians because these peoples lands made up the Persian empire. Plus the intermingling of Parthian, Scythian and Medes genes plus to some extent semetic on the western part and dravidian on the eastern part.Well, then you should NOT use it as a barometer, otherwise, even Egyptians and Ethiopians would be considered Persians. If we use the Indo Iranian linguistic group as the barometer for Persians, then we include Pakistanis and BalotchTechnically the most correct interpretation would be that all Persian speakers can be considered Persian. But Farsi is the official language in Afghanistan and Tajikistan. Tajiks infact means eastern Iranians, usually Sunni Muslim. But when an Afghan Farsi speaker (not Pashtun cuz we would never claim persian) claims to be Persian, he is made fun of for being a wannabe. But then an Azeri or Turkic descended Iranian can claim Persian? Makes no sense. They are not made fun of as much as you might thinkMany of the Persian empires notables, warriors and poets came from modern day Afghanistan like Balkhi, Rumi and Jalaludin Afghani. What is this supposed to mean? When they want independence then they're like "Ow were not Iranian, were Afghans!!" but when we talk about these great men, then they're suddenly all Persians? Fuck that
King Tech suck a cock.
i dont know why but this puta is holding it down when it comes to persion/iranian porn:http://www.tube8.com/teen/persia-teen-squirter/29994/
Professor, it seems like u missed my pointmy point is that the term Persian is not solely reflective of Iranians. Tajiks and some Afghans are just as Persian as Iranians, but there are some Iranians who are dismissive of non Iranians as Persians. So I pointed out examples of Persian notables who are claimed by Iranians as Persians, but others from the same place are notComprende?>Btw, can you provide proof that the term Persian exists in Farsi?....Because I will stand corrected if you do. I have never heard anyone say MAN PERSIAN HASTAM..SHUMA PERSIAN HASTEED. ETC

ETCI understand what you were trying to say, but the way you wrote it might have been misinterpreted by other readers.NomenclaturePersian, the more widely used name of the language in English, is an Anglicized form derived from Latin *Persianus < Latin Persia < Greek Πέρσις Pérsis, a Hellenized form of Old Persian Parsa. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the term Persian seems to have been first used in English in the mid-16th century.[9] Native Persian speakers call it "Fārsi" (local name) or Parsi. Farsi is the arabicized form of Parsi, due to a lack of the /p/ phoneme in Standard Arabic.- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persian_languageFars is the original homeland of the Persian people. The native name of the Persian language is Fârsi or Pârsi. Persia and Persian both derive from the Hellenized form Πέρσις Persis of the root word Pârs. The Old Persian word was Pârsâ.- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fars_provincebtw I am Persian, but from the way you wrote that sentence I think you aren't lol...jk homie...where you from??
