Royce has been in a small dispute with rapper Joe Budden, which started with Royce's and Mistah Fab's rap battle in New York. Joe Budden was supposed to be at the battle but never showed. Joe Budden later stated that the battle was embarrassing, saying that Mistah Fab is garbage and Royce didn't come with is A-game. Royce addressed Joe Budden on "Who Got Bodied" (which had been aimed squarely at Mistah F.A.B.) when the song's beat switched from Biggie & Puff Daddy's "Victory" to Joe Budden's "Pump It Up". Royce would go on to say he was only kidding with the lines: "I'm just playin my nigga Buddens you cool/ I'm just messin' with you 'cause I ain't got nothin to do." On Budden's Mood Muzik 3 album he took several shots at Mistah Fab and Royce Da 5'9" stating that Mistah Fab is wack and Royce Da 5'9" fell off (Royce's name being edited out on the album version of the Track). After the unedited version of the track leaked, Royce heard it and responded on his recent track "Done Taking", saying "Take a look at my track record i'm spazz happy/I heard a well known FAG just took a JAB at me/YEAH you already know what i do to fools, so when i see you i ain't gon be in the MUZIK MOOD". Royce would later state in a latter track (Over the beat to Lil Wayne's "I'm Me" track) "I Aint Got beef with no Joe Buddens/Ya'll gonna get one of these niggas killed, trying to start shit".

I'm a big fan of both, so I'll be neutral if it pops off. I think it'll be strictly a wax battle though.

What do you mean?  He basically says the same thing he did in that other interview.  He would rather dead it and talk on the phone rather than on the record.  But he will get down if Budden wants to get down.
