Out of the not so much material I;ve heard from him, I've liked and disliked an equal ammount of tracks, but probably I;ve liekd more. Some of his beats are reall crazy tho, Cali Grown, Who Got That Gangsta SHit, Bad Azz's A Hold On Hip-Hop (what a great ass beat!!love the scratches, everything) and I could go on

He's dope. I often compare Soopafly and DJ Quik. If Soopa get a better chance, he might be on the same level as Quik. But Death Row fucked up a lot of talents, we already know it. IMO Quik did his finest point in signing Arista when Funky Enough Records was lookin' really bad. That's why DJ Quik is DJ Quik now.
It's funky enough!

if this does not work, i think soopafly should do some production outside his camp, and see what happens then.

Yeah, i'd love to see one solo album properly promoted by Snoop.  Half these people didn't even know when the Dubb Union album dropped, there's just no excuse for that.  I would love to see him produce some stuff for Bone, Game, Dr. Dre, Quik, Warren G, etc.; you know, a few people outside the DPG camp.  But I don't have any interest in seeing him getting all crazy and making beats for all these fly-by-night new rappers that are out, they don't deserve his beats.  He was getting a little carried away when he was making beats for Jayo Felony, Cydal, Hitt from tha LBC, E-White, etc.  So i'm glad he's kind of reeled himself in a bit from that.   But that's also probably what's keeping him from getting more exposure, since no one is really checkin for Snoop right now since he sold out.

The reason Snoop doesn't feature him more is because he's jealous of him, plain and simple.  Snoop used to have 2 or 3 Soopafly songs on every album.  Then he released Rhythm and Gangsta and everyone told him that album sucked except for one song, "The Bidness" produced by Soopafly.  Everyone loved that beat.  Well that made Snoop really mad and jealous, so he didn't feature Soopafly at all on his next album except for that Westurn Union cut "Like This" in which Fly once again killed it even though he only had a third of one verse.  And that got Snoop even more paranoid and jealous, so this time, he didn't feature Soopafly at all on Ego Trippin.  And Snoop tried to weigh Fly down with these 2 rookies, Lucc and Damani, just to basically end Fly's career.  Fly ain't no posse rapper, he's a solo act.  Anyway, so Fly took these 2 young guys, schooled them and he released the album and it turned out being pretty good.  Snoop even tried to put a skip in the record to further stop the momentum, but it didn't work.  I can only imagine what Snoop is going to try to do now.  I think he feels Soopafly's a few inches away from taking over his throne, which he is.
+1  ;)

The best rapper on the west is crooked i,soupafly cant even be compared to ice cube.ice cube is in his own leauge

Ice Cube is in his own league, but right now?

I liked "Raw Footage" but let's be real, he's not really the lyricist we knew him as

Crooked I? I haven't heard a Crooked verse in like 3 years, I don't pay attention to that Minor League shit

of course Crooked is a better lyricist than Soopafly but Crooked is off the map, mixtape rappers aren't included in this discussion

Exactly...at least Soopafly releases stuff.  Until Crooked I releases an official album, you can't even compare the two.

Reality is a hell of a drug.  This great Man Soopafly is finally starting to get the respect he deserves.  I don't think anyone realized how good he was until they heard him rapping next to Lucc and Damani.  He just blew them out of the water with his bitch-checking rhymes and everyone had to stand up and take notice.

100% honestly, the mixtape is slightly better I think.  Still worth picking up the album though.  What I did, is I took the top 6 or 7 songs off the mixtape and the top 6 or 7 from the album and made a bangin CD.

I c where ur going with this. within the last 2 years, Soopafly has no doubt been an integral part of the west coast.

Snoop shoulda gotten him exposed around the time he first debuted on Doggfather.
he woulda had a more complete fan base. even his first album wasn't released properly.

Snoop stopped fuckin with the DPG click a long time ago, then all of a sudden has a western conference and starts fuckin with them again? Snoop's fuckin messed up in the head. I hated how he all of a sudden started getting more involved with DPG's projects. PRESENTED BY SNOOP, FEATURING SNOOP....who gives a fuck about Snoop?!

Snoop's career has gotten worse with time and whenever he gets together with Soopafly and whatnot, he ruins their image and never gives them the promotion they deserve. he's like a fuckin STD. stay away from Snoop.

the only project Snoop touched that did alright was the Eastsidaz albums. since then, he hasn't done shit except fall off.

yea I said it.

Soopafly should've rapped on "Who Got Some Gangsta Shit", that was his first beat on Death Row. It's a classic DPGC cut.
