what do you mean "lol" ?

as of right now he's better than - Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Game, any of that New West shit

Game can be nice though, don't get me wrong

the fact he's a dope producer makes him even 10x more underrated

He's a good rapper and always makes great beats. It's a shame that he doesn't release material that much. "Dat Whoopty Whoop" is a West Coast classic, "Bangin West Coast" wasn't all that though.

The best rapper on the west is crooked i,soupafly cant even be compared to ice cube.ice cube is in his own leauge. But i do think soupafly is a good artist and him being loyal to snoop is why he aint never got no where, kind of fucked up how snoop havent put him out and he was the most loyal one to snoop out of all the dpg.he always stayed down with snoop.Snoop should of pushed him and put him out like he didnt the eastsiders

Best West Coast rappers right aint Soopafly or Crooked I
Soopafly is a dope mc, singer and producer, one of my favorite cat on the west and hes not on too many projects cuz he fucks only with Doggy Style and nobody cares about west coast scene right now
Crooked I was promised to be a KILLER, his features on C-Style compilations are straight classic but he fell the fuck off imo, Block Obama thats garbage music except for a couple songs

Amen!  You are 100% correct, Soopafly is the best on the west right now.  I'm glad someone else finally sees what I see in this great man.

To answer your questions, he doesn't appear on more stuff because he doesn't want to dilute his catalog.  Right now he's up to about 200 released songs/guest appearances in 15 years.  That's pretty good.  That's the mistake people like Crooked I and Game make.  They release so many mixtapes and crap songs and stuff, why would anyone want to buy their album when there are 500+ songs of theirs on the internet people can get for free?  They dilute their catalog so much you gotta weed through about 30 shitty songs before you find a good one.  So you see a game or crooked I album and you think to yourself "hmm, there's 16 songs on this album, how many are going to be good?  1 or 2?".  But with Fly, he probably has 3 bangers out of every 5 songs he's released, which is a great percentage there.  And since it's tough to find alot of newer Soopafly joints on the net (since he doesn't release alot of stuff), when you see his album in the stores, everyone snatches it up right away because they want that Soopafly music.  That Dubb Union album must be flying off the shelves, everytime i'm at Wal-mart, Target, or stores like that, I can't even find it on the shelves, or maybe one copy.  They can't even keep that album stocked.  You don't see Dr. Dre getting on 100 songs a year, the good rappers just don't do that.  That's something the new west cats need to understand, less is more sometimes.

The reason Snoop doesn't feature him more is because he's jealous of him, plain and simple.  Snoop used to have 2 or 3 Soopafly songs on every album.  Then he released Rhythm and Gangsta and everyone told him that album sucked except for one song, "The Bidness" produced by Soopafly.  Everyone loved that beat.  Well that made Snoop really mad and jealous, so he didn't feature Soopafly at all on his next album except for that Westurn Union cut "Like This" in which Fly once again killed it even though he only had a third of one verse.  And that got Snoop even more paranoid and jealous, so this time, he didn't feature Soopafly at all on Ego Trippin.  And Snoop tried to weigh Fly down with these 2 rookies, Lucc and Damani, just to basically end Fly's career.  Fly ain't no posse rapper, he's a solo act.  Anyway, so Fly took these 2 young guys, schooled them and he released the album and it turned out being pretty good.  Snoop even tried to put a skip in the record to further stop the momentum, but it didn't work.  I can only imagine what Snoop is going to try to do now.  I think he feels Soopafly's a few inches away from taking over his throne, which he is.

I took the best picture I had of Soopafly and made my Wii character off of that.  I'd love to see someone attempt a better one.  The program is pretty limited.  That's the character I use for all my games....in the Wii world, I AM Soopafly.

Let's see how he'll do it. If he fails, then he has nobody to blame, correction then his fans have nobody to blame but the man himself.. :P :P

Yeah, that's what I was trying to figure out.  Was this Dubb Union album just a one time thing?  Are they all going their seperate ways now?  I hope so, we need another solo album by Fly.  With the kurupt album coming as well as another Dogg Pound album, Fly will probably be busy producing on those projects.  I wouldn't expect anything more from him in the ways of an album until 2010.  I have no idea if Lucc and Damani are signed to Doggystyle as solo artists, but they'll never get a solo album released on Doggystyle records.

^^well only time will tel!
if this does not work, i think soopafly should do some production outside his camp, and see what happens then.
