Isn't it sad for Bishop Lamont?
« on: September 18, 2008, 11:10:18 AM »
I was in a big store in Nice, France today. They had "The Confessional" on the shelves and available for listening. An employee was tellin some random guy that he was the new Dre signature and that he was dope blah blah... I listened to it and figured out it was the bootleg version DJ Strong had sent to DJ Whoo Kid... ::) Shadyville.biz written on the backcover btw.

I don't get it...

Basically what Im sayin is that its sad that people outside of the states will get to know Bishop from a bootleg CD that he didn't even want to come out... Not that the version Strong leaked is bad, but that's not how Bishop wanted it to be...

I guess that's fucked up cause he won't see any paper off that, but he's getting worldwide exposure....the fact that people in France are even checking for his shit should make him happy....

I agree.  I don't see what's so sad about it.  He should be happy anybody outside of CA has an interrest in his music.

Bishop's got a few fans here in the UK too, but I'd bet most downloaded the proper version from DubCNN.

i think most of the rappers who get pissed about bootlegging arent that good and have to work really hard to make their shit sound half decent. nowadays who is really going to buy a cd by some new rapper they have never even heard of
