Christian churches now suggesting Obama is anti-Christ

I was talking about the Christian Church and the rumors and myths that seem to come out of it in my discussions with church going Christians in my daily life I keep hearing these myths.
As far as Muslims go, if you called them all suicide bombers then I would think you were wrong, but not really because you grouped them all in the same category, but more so because your thinking is so limited that a man commiting suicide is the ultimate "evil" for silly Christians like yourself, rather than U.S. military Christian soldiers in Iraq and Afganistan who are nothing more than mercenary's killing large numbers of people for money, college grants, their worship of the American flag, the fascist state, and their Christian God.
...On the other hand if you wanted to make a thread pointing out myths Muslims perpetrated about the coming of the day of judgement then its likely I might have to admit you were right about much of what you said.

I'm not christian for one. I never said suicide bombing was the ultimate evil, although it is pretty bitchmade, and it certainly shouldn't justify salvation. The purpose of any major religion I have ever heard about is to prosper and propagate, not off each other.
I will say that I have heard about some "prophecy", if you want to call it that, where a man of colored skin will assume power in a prominant position and it turns out his is essentially the devil incarnate. Hogwash is all that is. Obama could very well run this country into the ground with his policies (as could McCain), but I think as a society, we have gotten past shit like the Salem witch hunts. The 17th century has long passed and religious ghost stories are faux pas. That's probably why seperation of church and state was the first amendment written into the constitution. The only christians (used very lightly) who would possibly cast their votes based on that bible story are those crazy fuckers from Westboro Baptist Church.

Nearly every religion, and especially Christianity and Islam have had a great deal of history involving the concept of martydom. If you need examples I can give them to you but it should go without saying. If you must have me explain the concept to you it is where a worshipper sacrifices their own life for what they believe to be the greater good (doing it for God, defending against oppressed people, standing up for their principles, beliefs, etc. And they believe that God will reward them in the next life for this) This concept of martyrdom has deep and extensive history in Islam and Christianity.
Unless of course your talking about the Joel Olsteen positive thinking brand of Christianity...but that is something new.

Are you kidding? Scaring the Christian sheep into voting Republican has been a hugely popular and very successful political strategy for the last few decades, especially. It started with Jerry Fallwell's movement to "restore Christian values" to American society and the political associations he made.

That has nothing to do with this thread, because Christians are majority religion in this country and their prejudices can sway an election... as opposed to Muslims who are only 2% of the American population and are not in influential positions (as are the Jews).
As for your claim that Muslims are no better... I don't follow Muslim scholarship when it comes to a political and economic system. Since trying to live in a Muslim country (Emirates and Oman) in early 2007, I've had to re-evaluate all of my previous life's thinking. I'm now a student of Harry Browne's Libertarian philosophy's on the individualists life, personal liberty, and small government.
And even in my days as a Muslim proselytizer here at the forum, you can never say you read one post from me spreading myths about the day of judgement. And trust me, I've heard plenty of them in my days as a Muslim and I never was down with that type of stuff.

Umm, where have you been? The media associates Islam/Muslim/Middle Eastern with terrorism/suicide bombing so much the majority of America actually believes them to be one and the same. Its a fuckin shame and it absolutely disgusts me. Christians don't deal with this same bullshit day to day so excuse me if I have little to no sympathy for a chrsitian who feels religiously profiled.
