'the pitcher may get injured' isnt the only argument...

like i said in the other thread..except for a couple exceptions, the 9th hole is an automatic out..what wrong with deleting the auto out and replacing it with a power hitter or a speedster, or a slap hitter etc.

btw, nice job making the options unbiased.  ::)

The fact that the 9 hole is a weak spot is part of the game.  Lets add more offense to the game.  Hey lets bring the fences in and have the batters hit off tee's that way we dont have to ever worry about the pitchers getting hurt.  The fact you have the pitcher in the 9 hole adds that much more strategy to the game.  But we could get rid of that and add another power bat to the line up and increase scoring in baseball even more so.  Who the hell wants to see a tight 3-2 or 4-3 game.  Lets just make every game 9-8 affair.

you took a reasonable argument and countered with something straight retarded.

btw, there have been instances where the owners move the fences in a little to help out their hitters...

and the ONLY 'strategy' that would be affected, would be the double switch.   THATS IT!

having a DH doesnt mean that a team cant play small ball, it just means you have a real batter instead of a pitcher.

while having the Pitcher up to bat is very annoying, it's what sets the two leagues apart

no, it should not be implemented into the NL

i know damn well im in the minority on this, and i know the NL wont get the DH anytime soon..if ever.

but a lot can change in 50 years...

hell, you ask everyone just 10 years ago about their thoughts about instant replay being used in baseball, and id be willing to bet that 95%+ would say 'youre crazy, the MLB will NEVER use instant replay"...yet, here we are, using instant replay.

so anything can change...

You wouldn't need instant replay if the umpires haven't been atrocious the past few years.  Tradition is one of the major things that separates baseball from other sports.  Lets just throw that all out the window.  How maybe we make all the fences the same distance.

Tradition blows!  Well some of it.  The AL should get rid of it.  Cause of Pedro Martinez & Roger Clemens i've really grown sick & tired of AL pitchers being pussy by hitting batters on purpose.  And getting away with it >:(  .  Knowing that they don't get to bat.  I do believe that everyone should play offense & defense.  If they really suck on defense, play 1st base.  I like it when pitchers get to hit.  One game 24 or 25 years ago at a Dodger game I saw on ON TV[ancient history], Dodgers were playing the Reds.  Pitcher Bob Welch hit a home run & that was the only run at the game.  Pitchers can make a difference at the plate too.  Fuck what Skank Whinebrenner was crying about months ago :'( :'( :'( that the NL should get with the 21st century & have the DH :monkey_piss:.  I know some things that MLB needs 2 get with the 21st century on things, but i'll talk about that another time.  Sadly they refuse 2 do it too :psych:
