Hip-Hop is a culture, not just music. And it's more Hip-Hop now than in 1993, when then it was gangsta and now it's back to party music, the way it should be. Is Hip-Hop Dead, no, Hip-Hop is coming back.
We will never have Hip Hop as great as it was from '88-'96. Never again. I put anything on that.

This argument has been going on since Melle Mel said no one in the late 80's was better than him. Listen to KRS-One, dude ain't going around saying Hip-Hop is dead, his doing shit with Soulja Boy. And his the teacher of Hip-Hop. Hip-Hop is something you live, it's the culture, rap is something you do, it's the music.

Hip-Hop is a party culture. Plan and simple.
We'll probably never see an album like Illmatic, Dogg Food, but if you find you always have to find something good for ya ears.
