Australia is gonna be alright into the future IMO. Invest in us. We are being effected as in our dollar is going down in value, but it could just mean more exports for us because Asian countries will be able to afford more off us. Our natural resources sector and our regulated banks have kept us safe so far (and there is increasing pressure from govt and the opposition on the banks to lower interest rates becuase they haven't yet the bastards, only our reserve bank has) so currently we are not in such a state of alarm as you all seem to be in over there...I think alot of Australians have gotten off the US dollar a weeks ago, we've had shifting emphasis onto China and Europe anyhow...I think China is or biggest market in natural resources and natural resources is our biggest market.
Americans been screaming hysterically about 'zero-regulation' for years...now its come back to BITE you all in assssss.
Now if you all go ahead and vote McCain in anway (a traditional de-regulator) then you all truly deserve to have your reputation cemented into history as the most brainwashed fool led by a leash.
How could you idiots not vote in Obama? Real intelligent dude who is going to be a meticulous technocrat, put your prejudices aside and just listen to him speak, he knows what it takes for good government, whereas McCain just cares for representing the oil lobby in the public sphere and spreading bullshit like a tabloid magazine...
Im watching a debate on TV now, man the way McCain talks its understandable how he can confuse some of the feeble minds, McCain just said he wants a govt spending freeze on all spending, except for the military! LOL say hello to a military run corporate country thats gives not a shit for the average citizens if you have not realised you living in one already....
McCain is arguing against higher taxes, that is, higher taxes for the rich! Whereas, Obama is arguing for no tax increases for anybody, except the rich. Tax the rich you idiots! Your country has the richest uber-rich in the world, you are idiots not to tax the rich at a higher rate and yet tax yourselves!

The last time there was a really high tax put on the rich, Jimmy Carter was president. I know everyone hates Bush here, but believe it or not, Carter was WORSE. He taxed the rich so much, they stopped investing their money in businesses. Why spend the capitol on a business when you're only going to make 38 cents out of a dollar? He caused inflation to rise at 13% a year by doing so. Then, he curled up in a corner and cried when Iranians took American hostages. It wasn't until almost a year and a half later, when a republican, Ronald Reagan, took office to turn all of that around.
Of course, John McCain is no Ronald Reagan, but Barak Obama is EXACTLY like Jimmy Carter, right down to a tee.

Maybe I am not getting carried away with the comparison and it is you who is underestimating what Barak has in store. Just because you think it's a great idea, doesn't really make it so. In theory, I definately agree with you, but in reality, it doesn't work. It has been tried and it has failed.
