Announcement: Dubcc 'Detox' Phase 2 (forum moderation improvements)

So here goes part 2 of the forum detox..


1) thanks to improvements in the forum software our super-mods (jome and nima) now have the ability to view user IPs AND ban users properly
    (there are 3 global mods outside that.. adon, conan and siavish (little girl)

2) there is now a moderator's lounge accessible by moderators only.. if you're a mod and cant get in there, pm me.

3) i've reviewed and removed mods who seem inactive as users, let alone mods.

4) potential new mods as suggested by dubcnn staff are being approached.. but if you feel theres something  you can do apply to me AND rud

on what grounds can they ban people on? coz you know some people on here are more emotional then a 13 year old girl. i´m guessing their not gonna ban the serious posters left and right but more the spammers and the people that make the same threads 100 times(Spider´s fans maybe?).

exactly..

everything is traceable.. so "un-just" bannings/deletions can be reviewed..

people often throw incorrect accusations at mods when they think it was one over another etc..

so you're now a mod of this section.. and meho is a mod of outbound...

and numerous other mods got the sack... but they prob wont notice as they've not been around for ages

Of course serious or half-serious posters won't be banned.. spammers & repeated shit-starters will be the main priority. 

On a similar note, it's interesting to be able to see which people got aliases, and in so case, how many.. (Y'all know who you are, you can't hide!)

thing is.. thats not grounds for banning. but they could be merged to keep it all in one place if they're that similar.

with jome/nima as well as myself and Rud being able to spot dupe/alias accounts control is now much tighter.

if in doubt take it to the mod forum..

some mods already banded and made a post to highlight those kinds of problems..
