exactly. would it be sensible if dr.dre was put in this list also? he has stuff put out but hardly, its not even for the west, last trak we heard was the trak with slim thug. honestly dre can change the game like that, honestly he can save the west in like 10 secs in my opinion but i dont really know wat goes around that guys head

no its not. the reason why the "west aint winning" is because these cats cant come up with hit songs.

you think if kurupt and them was more active it would make a big difference?

would the material that we hear from the west be better? maybe maybe not

but dont say that thats the reason the west aint winning.

remember how the south got hot in this era...it all started during the lil jon era, club hits era. hella cats from the south had hit songs and thats why the label started focusing on them.

outside of snoop and game who really got hits?

yeah its true that the westcoast artist dont get enough push from the label, but thats just because..the labels know westcoast cats have a hard time comin up with hits and thats why they not spendin any money.

westcoast rappers are tooooooo focused on "keepin it street" with they music, which is good, but thats why westcoast aint that relevant anymore.

You know what? I wish Mike Mosley would have worked more with less underground artists. Out of all of the songs that I know are produced by him I honestly can't think of one that I don't like.

just because he had hits with Xzibit THEN doesnt mean he will now. what kinda shit is that?

or just because he had dope records with X-Z then doesnt mean he will now. Just cuz it looks on paper doesnt mean the shit will be top notch.

bottom line is..as you said..look at Jay-Z..he still big in NY..but how come NY aint been back?? because its about hit records. believe it or not Maino is the only relevant (right now) in the industry from NY except for Nas, 50 and them.

why? is it because he dope? hell naw duke wack on the mic. but its because he have a hit song out there.

thats the only thing that can bring attention to a whole coast and/or record labels.

do you think if Glasses gets beats from Dre and features from Snoop the west will be back? hell no...well maybe but it depends on the HITS not WHOS ON THE ALBUM.

and even though its dope for hardcore fans like us to appreciate westcoast hiphop..the truth is the reason they aint hot anymore is because NO ONE is willing to break out of that "circle" and start catering to todays audience.

so what u have right now is every westcoast rapper being portrayed as gangsta rappers. nothin else.

yeah but look at what you're sayin....AT THAT TIME..like i said just because it was dope and you can consider those songs hit songs THEN doesnt mean songs like that will get play now which 9,5/10 they wont.

you already now that hiphop changes all the time..just 2 years ago 50 was the "flavor of the month" now its Wayne then its someone else after that. Hiphop is like that you cant say that because they produced hit songs then, the same producers/rappers will make the same hit records now.

yeah your right them songs might not get the same play now (I think they'd still get play, not as much)
but IMO
jinx, jelly roll, and even the new comers can produce the heat we need for the "mainstream" how it was done before
problem is, it hasnt been done recently

look for example
wrong idea by bad azz, snoop dogg, lil half dead and kokane
that song came out in 2001

it still, to this day, gets play (weekly) in the bay area (yeah the bay area plays that song weekly)
so they play it anywhere from 2-3 times a week sometimes, thats good for a "la" song up in the bay area, and its old, 7 years old!
produced by jelly roll and mixed by dr. dre!

point is, the heat isnt bein made lately, thats all!

and no if G Malone gets on a dr. dre produced song that dont mean nothin! as you said its got to be heat!
damn u still havent logged off...ur hurting everyone with all this wack shit u drop, it hurts more then getting the swine flu
