Busta Rhymes is so wack....
« on: October 21, 2008, 02:59:37 PM »
How are you gonna have Dre executive produce your album and still flop?

He's always been wack, one of the most over-rated emcee's that's ever done it.

If you're talking about Big Bang, it sold 2.5 mill worldwide, and was a great success both saleswise and musically.. Dre helped Busta do quite possibly his best album.

But his recent shit has been wack as fuck, Arab Money = horrible, World Go Round = abysmal.
It's obvious there's no Dre touch on those 2 singles..  :-X

my thoughts on busta:

his early shit is wack. his flows are always offbeat

his new stuff is wack. hes trying to recapture that old sound or something

from genesis (atleast) to big bang he was good though. im not that educated on bustas shit though so take what i say with a grain of salt

I own every Busta album and yiou're pretty much on point. I can't stand the old Busta, he was always off beat, wilding out, not saying shit on a record. It's a thin line between being creative and being all over the place. When he was on Aftermath, I liked him becuase his delivery, breathing technique and mic presence were off the chain. Not to mention he released some great storytelling tracks with actual subject matter. And judging by the last couple of tracks he released, he's going back to the old version; garbage Arab Money being the finest example.
