I know Omar is too smart to make a move like that. But there are other ways that can still get him struck out from mainstream success.

Didn't make it through this thread completely, but you have to remember a few things. The first is that G Malone's video does get played on BET. In fact, it's one of the videos you can vote for on 106 And Park's website. Also, when G Malone had "Certified" in circulation, that video had gotten play on BET as well. As far as Jay Rock goes and this TRL talk, we'll never see any of them on TRL anymore, cause they cancelled it. However, if it wasn't, you still wouldn't see it. TRL only played Top 40 type music and was not very supportive of rappers with a more "gangster" image. Remember, that show was very clean cut. Also, Jay Rock's video is still new don't forget. Sometimes you see a video on the net and won't see it in any rotation on TV for a month. I think they can still push it to MTVs other channels and show's like BET Now, etc.

So, I mean, I don't think Malone flopped completely. Yeah it isn't making Bow Wow and Lil Wayne rotations, but it's getting attention. As far as Jay Rock goes, in all fairness give it a little more time before we consider it a complete flop.
