The Bangin On Wax albums are true classics
« on: November 11, 2008, 12:23:21 PM »
I know that I am not the only one to think this but the Banging On Wax albums are West Coast gems, to me they are way better that a lot of other albums called "classics".
The beats and the rappers are dope, that's great music in my opinion!
What's the point of such a topic? Probably none except celebrating the great music that the 90's brought; to me it never gets old!

I picked this up and never understood it. I love it, especially the blood side (no bias I just prefer it). Like who are these cats and why did they put this together?

Yeah at first I thought it was going to be an album fully promoting the peace like we should stop the violence and stuff, but the album is what it is called "banging on wax". However it still promote the peace a little.

was started up by ronnie ron and tweedy bird loc, both from compton, had a lot of underground crip/blood rappers, and dudes from their hood.... had b-brzy, who was prolly the biggest outta them all....

the music off of bangin on wax which the damu ridaz released is good though, to be honest the bloods had a lot more quality then the crips...

if b brazy never would died he could of blow up.to be honest.b brazy is the only reason big wy and the relatives sold records.they did a song with brazy and eveybody went out and boutgt they album because of brazy verse.they thought he was gonna be on the whole album.

K's Up is sick with the compton sample and the whistling!

To me BOWs have the core sound of what good west coast gangsta rap was all about!
