Ice Cube - The world is mine (97)
« on: November 14, 2008, 12:30:10 AM »

Damm....this was my favorite song in 7th grade...I had completely forgotten about it until I found it this week. I think it was on Dangerous Ground Sdtk, but wasn't on War and Peace.

MY FIRST LOVE WAS HIP HOP

I bought the Dangerous Ground soundtrack after seeing that video once.  Don't forget about this track off the Dangerous Ground Soundtrack too:

The K Dee and Lil Doe Doe songs were good too.

This is a classic joint. I loved Cube's production '95-'97. He produced this joint.

I didn't know he produced when I was younger. I remember he got interviewed sometime in the late 90's or early 2000's, and he said he never got deep into producin because he had already burned himself out creatively...but damn, he made a GRIP of dope beats that people won't even realize he made.

He got classics beat no doubt. "Friday", "Hoo Bangin'", "The World Is Mine", "Foe Life", "You Know How We Do It (Remix)", etc.

I think he did a lot on Kausion's album too.

I came across this cd and tossed it in about a week ago. That the song was pretty good but wasn't touching what he was doing with WSC around the same time.
