Tha Last Meal
« on: November 20, 2008, 10:04:52 AM »
I remember when this album came out there was little or no buzz about it due to the 2 garbage albums he had released with no limit previously.  I remember picking it up and being very suprised by the quality of beats, the fresh sound the whole album had, the guests that smashed it, and his overall flow.  I thought the record was dope then and it got a lot of rotation in my ride and such.  It kinda faded away as new records came out and now i listen to it on occasion.

I had moved and not had a chance to listen to the CD for about 2 years until yesterday.  After not hearing it for so long my appreciation for the record grew, and now I find myself placing the album right next to doggystyle.  I go back and forth between the two unable to pick a favorite.  That being said, doggystyle gets much love as a classic, defining westcoast record, and Im curious what others think about this album.  In my opinion this is the most slept on/ underrated album ever made by a major west coast artist.  What do ya'll thing?

Yeah, Tha Last Meal is Snoop's second best album after Doggystyle. A lot of cats feel like that. After that comes Tha Blue Carpet Treatment. Every other Snoop album, apart from those three, are mixed bags, although Paid Tha Cost is a solid album too.

"Tha Last Meal" is one of my favourite albums ever, straight up classic. Still can't really choose that if "Top Dogg" or "Tha Last Meal" is my second fav. album from Snoop.
I love them both, you can listen to them from the start to the end, not skippin one track (even though there's a few weak tracks)

This album is AWESOME from the first to the last song, there isn't a fuckin single average song.

Hennesey N Buddah and Y'All Gone Miss Me are two of his best songs ever  8)

Doggystyle>>Tha Last Meal>>No Limit Top Dogg

It's a great album IMO, but too long with some fillers.

It's from "Thicker Then Water", Bad Azz had a small role in it.

Aww, that No Limit albums weren't that bad in my opinion. You've got couple of classic songs by that period:

Bitch Please
Buck 'Em
Still A G Thang
DP Gangsta (altho it's a remake, C-Murder murdered that verse)
Ghetto Symphony
Just Dippin'

... and couple of other good songs.

Thanks Okka ;).
It's funky enough!
