The Clippers have acquired forward Zach Randolph and guard Mardy Collins from the New York Knicks for shooting guard Cuttino Mobley and forward Tim Thomas.

Because going to New York = more money, more publicity, and you can hate me for saying this - but thats really all he wants. Lebron said his goal is to become the first billionaire athlete, not to win a ring.

Honestly, I like this trade for the Clippers...They have enough swingmen style chuckers on the squad and Mobley was eating their minutes... although Randolph is soft for a big, the Clippers needed some improved scoring around the post:

That's almost like saying he's not a real human being. I understand he might be fiending for his fame more than others (or show it off more than others), but playing with a bunch of scrubs in NY, just for the sake of it being NY, instead of going for any rings? Why move Kaman though? He's probably the best big on the roster and he's like 676 years younger than Camby.

They wont really get much for Camby or Randolph in return...if they can get someone along the lines of a Kevin Martin or Rudy Gay for Kaman, it might not be that bad of an idea to pull the trigger...imagine a line-up of BD, Kev-Martin, Thornton, Randolph, and Camby...not too bad, right? If the Clippers wanna win and be in the playoffs now, that's the way 2 go.

They have absolutely no chance of acquiring Kevin Martin or Rudy Gay though. Not only are those guys more valuable to their respective teams than Kaman would be, but both teams already have some pretty solid up and coming centers, especially Memphis.
