Shaq isn't the Center he used to be but...
« on: November 22, 2008, 11:56:19 PM »
.....he's still one of the best centers in this league.

1 on 1 he's gotten the best of

1. Duncan
2. Bynum
3. Oden
4. Bogot
5. Ming

i'm not saying he's really doing phoenix any service, because i think terry porter is an idiot and shaq's style doesn't mesh with the suns' style. But individually shaq is still an elite center this late into his career.

17 and almost 10 boards a night is pretty decent. It actually helps Amare's game more but it gives them a presence inside they were definitely lacking before.

He really stepped his game up this season. He owned Oden hard. Taught the overhyped fella a lesson. It's cool to see a nigga this old and this big still throwing it down this hard.

No, it's not a sin

Shaq did a great job on Oden last night. Veteran vs rookie and it showed.

How did he get the best of Bynum? LMAO...I'm still waiting for your reasoning behind that...Lakers won and Bynum had the better line. Try making sense of what you're claiming.

That said, Shaq is lookin better than he has the past couple years...definitely not "elite", but he's playing his part...the question is, can he keep it up for a whole season? well have to wait and see.

you know he was the most hated player in the league while on the Lakers  ;D

if I had a dollar every time I heard someone say he had no skill and just filled up the lane with his size

The fact is that he's still phisically a monster. He is so huge it's embarassing. And when he wants to play he's still unstoppable.

1. yes the lakers won, the lakers are a better team
2. Bynum didn't have a better line than shaq. Shaq had 15 to bynum's 10. Shaq had 9 rebs to bynums 7. shaq had bynum in foul trouble. Phil benched Bynym.  bynum wasn't even a factor when shaq was on the floor, most of those stats came while shaq was on the bench, watch the game again, bynum couldn't do anything against shaq.

Bynum made 5 field goals on 8 attempts in 20 minutes. Shaq had made 6 field goals on 12 attempts in 27 minutes with 4 turnovers. learn what a better line is. go read antonios break-down of the head-to-head match-up.
