Many pro athletes played more than one sport in high school, and they dominate their sports. We had two players in my football team get scholarship offers for football and baseball, and the player that made the NFL (Nick Barnett) would dominate track and field and won the CIF division 1 decathlon, and won his huddle races. Multi-sport aren't new, and many athletes today and yesterday were great at other sports other than what they played. A.I. stuck to basketball, and changed the game in terms of the NBA entering the Hip-Hop era, Nick Barnett decided against trying for the Olympics and went to the NFL, and as someone once said, what happened to Heavyweight boxing, well the world champ is playing linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens. (that was said during Ray Lewis prime)

Most people who are good enough to be one of the best in the world in the 1 sport they decided to focus on would dominate pretty much any sport on a high school level, how is that something that makes Iverson special?
Cause I don't care where I belong no more
What we share or not I will ignore
And I won't waste my time fitting in
Cause I don't think contrast is a sin
No, it's not a sin

Like everyone in this thread is saying, most star athletes excel in more than one sport...but Iverson was playing JV football. Come on, now. No way he'd be doin' that shit in the NFL if he couldn't even make the varsity squad.

the only position he'd be able to play is Cb or Safety. he's tough, but not tough enough for WR .

but like everyone is saying, many athletes did stuff like this.

Joey Porter ....the sack king of the NFL right now, played WR at foothill high and was dubbed the next lynn Swan ....now he's a line backer. But at the same time he was also a star basketball player, baseball player, and track and field star.

Thats hard to say man, he's spent most of his life conditioning his body for basketball. Who's to say what he'd be like if he spent most of his life conditioning it for football. And if his toughness is an issue, then yeah....CB. But I dont think you have to be tougher to be a WR then you do to be a Safety. Ideally, you want your safety to be a vicious hitter.

he couldnt tackle Leon Washington if he were a defender. he is small and skinny, hes got no bulk. he would get smashed up in the NFL, he made the right choice back in the day.

He would definetely be a WR or a DB if he were in the NFL. Again, remember he's been conditioning his body for basketball all these years. And his game is as a ridiculously quick, flashy, scorer. Weight-lifting wouldnt play a big role in his workouts throughout the years. Him gaining too much muscle would only hurt his basketball game. If he were working on his football game, he would more then likely have been workin with the weights more. Randy Moss is skinny with no bulk....and would have had even less had he stuck with basketball.

im sure he didn't work out as much, but i cant see him all beefed up. him & Randy Moss are two different builds.
