Holy shit lol. This movie was great. Amazing kill scenes (think Shoot Em Up, except alot more creative and more detail), probably the 2nd most violent movie this year behind Rambo. Great acting to imo, Ray Stevenson is a bad ass, and the guys that played Jigsaw & Looney Bin Jim were def great. Give this a shot, plenty of memorable scenes and  quotes, plus NEWMAN!

 i do believe the previews alone have concluded it, IMO.  I mean the last one was awesome and all of a sudden they pull some shit like this?  Change the whole vibe of the hero to Rambo-like killer?

This version stayed alot truer to the comics. The Thomas Jane version was actually pretty watered down. And regardless, the villains are just so much better.

war zone is a fairly accurate transfer of MAX comics -> movies

lol, well i got put in my place :P.  But to just finish my aimless ranting, i simply meant that what they did with the 04 punisher Starring: Thomas Jane, John Travolta and Directored by Jonathan Hensleigh.  This new one just didn't continue on it, which makes me just not want to see it since i enjoyed it so much.

I actually kind of liked the Lundgren one. I wasn't that big a fan of the one from a few years ago. It seemed so un-Punisher-like to me. This new one, based on the trailers I've seen reminds me a lot more of the Punisher I grew up with.
