messy Marv had a productive year, spending most of 2008 traveling and in the studio, working on his music. Messy is currently putting the finishing touches on his first solo album since 2006, titled - Project Superstarr. He is looking forward to releasing it in the early part of 2009. In the meantime Messy is keeping his fans happy by releasing Draped Up and Chipped Out 3, the 3rd installment in the Draped Out and Chipped Out compilation series. The album is ready to hit stores in time for Christmas on December 9, 2008 on Scalen LLC/SMC Recordings/Fontana...

In the same style as Draped Out 2, Draped Out 3 is a compilation style solo album. Messy enlists many of the same people that made Volume's 1 & 2 successes which makes this album a must hear. Some of the SMC artists include Mistah F.A.B., Dem Hoodstarz, V-White, PSD Tha Drivah, Sean T, G-Stack and Keak Da Sneak. Through Messy's many travels this past year, he brought in tracks from Killer Mike, Capone-N-Noreaga, Glasses Malone, Big WY, and a few other surprises.

“On Errythang” is the first single off Draped Up and Chipped Out 3, it features Messy, Keak Da Sneak and Seff Da Gaffla. The single is gaining a steady momentum on radio stations in the Bay Area. Messy is excited to be putting music out there for his fans to hear, “Vol. 1 was flamin', Vol. 2 was fire and Draped Up & Chipped Out Vol. 3 is dumb-ass gas with no breaks!”

Draped Out and Chipped Out 3 hits stores December 9th.

been listenin to mess for a minute!

-overall I think he's a dope rapper
-what hes done recently (in the last few years) I think he could have put out more heat overall considerin the heat he can spit, dont think its been on the same level!
-jus cuz he releases a cd dont mean its dope and I think some or many have been in denial as to what has been dope and what has been not as good as previous releases which some would consider classics or better.
-now the stuff that he's released might have been dope or good and SOME of his fans might have liked it but I think wit the caliber rapper that he is and came to be he should have took advantage of that but I dont think he did.
and on the R&B tip, dont think he should do that!!!
