California rappers talk about Cali shit only.  So the songs that have good production value are disadvantaged from the jump.  All Cali rappers have that "Ghostface" effect.  People around the way will relate to it (mood, beats, subject matter, slang) and the rest will only hang around never buy the album (RZA).  If i'm feelin' fucked up I dont wanna hear about ridin' on the Westside, and "mark ass busta nigga" this and 6-Fo' that, and the sunshine.  i dont wanna hear that shit (i cant relate). "Touchdown" by The Game is a good example.  its a hot song but I've never been to California (u know?)  talk about some shit we all can sing/rap to. be creative- but have a good guide/time line so it isnt all rushed and out of place (wen your marketing yourself).  And all rappers in general need to branch out and rap on different type of beats/music.  enough with the west coast mc with the west coast only sound and vice versa.  They need to switch that shit up- thats why music seems like it gets old fast (stale & moldy)- bcuz the "coastal" formula is still goin' on.  I see it that changin' though, sometime around 2011.  If Hip Hop is going to survive its best that new artist break new ground, it comes from the bottom - up not tha top - down.  Why aren't ya'll goin' to different websites promotin' Mista FAB?  instead ya'll on here arguin' about dum shit and complaining why the G Funk aint wat it once was.  U gotta be apart of the movement just as much as the next man should (if you really care).  Ain't no room for complaints in Entertainment in 09' (you gotta make your own shit to talk shit)Face is retired from Hip Hop, Dre is finally about to hit online, 50 is about to step down, Snoop is almost 40, hell even Jaquin Pheonix is retired (Morgan Freeman anybody???)If you want the new, you gotta help create the newI'm surprised that All of these people on these boards from Cali (or whever your from) havent gotten together with other people around the area and made groups promoting and developing newer and better talent.  Live Music is a stepping stone to something "new" in Hip Hop- so there's your start
