Clippers' Ricky Davis suspended under drug policy

Clippers swing man Ricky Davis was suspended five games Monday for violating terms of the NBA's drug program.

The suspension will begin Tuesday night when the Clippers face Sacramento. He will be eligible to return Jan. 8 at San Antonio.

Davis, who has been sidelined with a sore left knee, is averaging 4.3 points in 13 games in his first season with the Clippers.

The 29-year-old Davis signed as an unrestricted free agent after averaging 13.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 82 games for the Miami Heat last season. He has also played for Charlotte, Cleveland, Boston and Minnesota.

huh? dude was an all-star caliber player throughout his career. He definitely sucked in his first 20 games this season, but there's way worse.

For someone who used to be "All-Star caliber throughout his career" and should be in his prime age-wise, I can't think of anyone worse. Seriously, think about it. You can't compare newbies who only play in garbage time or semi-retired players. Considering everything with him playing good minutes and all, he might be the worst swing player in the league right now.

statwise, he's definitely up there with the worst...but that's not how you judge players. LOL. ability-wise, he's better than most 2guards in the league. you don't judge players by stats, you judge them on their game. he just hasn't gotten it on with the clippers yet. doesn't make him the worst 2guard in the league...LOL@the way you judge players.
