PSA (D~Nice Edition Vol 3)
« on: January 13, 2009, 07:02:16 PM »
Wow alot of shit going on right now on the west.

This whole Bishop Lamont thing is crazy. If it is even true. Now the whole Game thing is one thing, it's obvious the 2 don't like each other so I say let them go at it. But this No Country For Old Men project is  ??? to me. Now if Ice Cube and Snoop were really on some blackballing shit then that is fucked up, but if not, I don't see the point of this album if the content is going where I think it will. What does Cube have to do with all this? Now I am all for rappers cosigning each other. I am also for artists pushing that line and grinding to get their music out as well. Bishop, Glasses and Crooked all do this so at this point to put a album out with that title is a little bit strange to me.

Someone answer me this question. WHAT THE FUCK DOES AGE HAVE TO DO WITH MUSIC?!? I am so tired of hearing this crap. If you still got it musically, who are we to say the artist should retire. Cube dropped a great album last year, Scarface, and a few others. If it is successful it is the artists had they time why are they hogging the spotlight. If they flop they time has past. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

That is why I say if you really dig any type music, support it. And I don't mean just money wise, spread the word about it. Don't be a stan about it either,  ;D but I think 2009 has alot of potential to have some dope west coast music new and established. It is just the hating and bickering from fans and artists is getting to the point that negativity is not creating a buzz anymore. Might have worked for 50 but not everyone else.

Anyways on to some west coast music. B~Real's album I am highly anticipating. The tracks that have come out have had crazy production and lyrically B is on point. Underrated producer also.

Obviously Blakqout is high on my list, Nipsey Hustle, Knocturnal, Hip Hop Weekleys coming back, etc. Everybody check out that Unity album Lunatic put out. It has alot of dope music on there from artists all over the country. It unifies hip hop no pun intended.

+1 real talk! I hope 09 will be a good year. Hopefully artists will concentrate on their music again and stop bullshitting on each other. As far as new releases, we have a lot to look forward to. For example: Dilated Peoples album and the new Evidence LP.

Remember the video clip of "Cali Iz Active"? All together: Snoop, Bishop, Cube.. etc. What happened to that? Bring it back!!

for real, all I see is negative threads having to do with Bishop now... shit is getting ridiculous, it wasn't like this at all a few months ago... but it's w/e with me cuz I just listen to the music that's hot as I've said many other times... with some artists I don't mind the "beef" they may start or engage in, just as long as they got some quality music to show for it then I really don't give a fuck lol  8)

and D-Nice it's threads like these that made you get Poster Of The Year

if Game and Bishop had some tracks where they were just going at it bar for bar on some battle rap shit like "I Got A Mill On It" and "Game Over" then it would be a whole different story, all their "beef" is just bullshit media comments which don't get either of them anywhere, and Game won't even speak on Bishop because he got X.O., but I'm anticipating his mixtape which dropped today I think ?

oh and I forgot to mention that "Fire" track by B-Real is dope as fuck, I never really check for him as a solo artist and I only got 2 of Cypress Hills' albums

Yeah X.O. is dope but I hope this beef does not consume his music.

I doubt it will musically, he doesn't seem to want to diss Bishop on wax (not saying he's scared to lol) but yeah, his Angel Dust mixtape was hard... I just got into it the other day

nice thread.... i haven't paid much attention to bishop much since he's been with the aftermath team.... he's been makin' some really crazy comments as of late and it kind of turn me off to his music.... which really sux cuz i luv the shit he does... i still bump his more early mixtapes more than his latest shit.... as for game... don't pay much attention to him either... i picked up the album but it didn't last too long in my rotation.... and now all the beef just kind of made me pay more attention to other artist...

evidence did it big this year with the mixtape (which i'm still bumpin') along with the ep (luv this but too short for me, can't wait for the album). watch his youtube vids... which are pretty cool... but yea, the weatherman lp is holdin' me over for now,

also waitin' on the new knoc album.... i don't know... sumthin' about his voice and delivery is just so clever... can't wait to hear that album...

nipsey hussle... his shit go hard... i definetly want to see an album come out from him....

there is a lot of shit i want to hear this year... i also want another mitchy album....

true age isn't a factor; all that matters is dropping quality music  ;)
i think Bishop should be keeping it low-profile; the negativity needs to stop.

however, the heat has lead to some posters getting erased from the forum, so that's a good thing  ;D

by the way, have you listened to Six2's affiliated yet?  :)

Yeah just not all the way through. If there is a thread on it already I will jump on it tonight or create one. I am taking the album to work to listen to the rest of it.
