OK SO ~~WE ALL~~ MOST OF US COMPLAIN ABOUT NEW MUSIC OUT HERE IN DA WEST

BUT WHY DONT WE COME WITH SOME SUGGESTIONS, WHAT HAS BEEN DONE BEFORE THAT YOU SEE STILL CAN BE DONE ?

ME - I THINK PEOPLE SHOULD GET MORE MUSICAL WITH IT, I ENJOYED 99-2006 WHEN PEOPLE KNEW HOW TO PLAY THEIR INSTRUMENTS LIKE WARREN G, DJ QUIK, BATTLECAT JUST 2 MENTION A FEW. AND WHEN PEOPLE WASNT SCARED TO REP THE COAST - TODAY ALL THEY REP IS THEIR SWAGGER LOL (THE NEW CATS)

ANY MORE SUGGESTIONS? LETS NOT ONLY GO NEGATIVE HERE LETS GIVE CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK YALL

Let me ask you this....if you could make a hundred thousand dollars from sitting down for....lets say a week and putting together a sub par album...would you??

Or would you kick back and learn to play instruments and make beats

If you want someone like that check out Terrace Martin he is pretty good. But yeah i agree with you....the west really need SOMETHING....but im not sure what. I think it really just needs people to come together, that includes record labels and marketing companies...

There is no shortage of talent on the westcoast, there never has been. But there has always been a LOT of talent that goes unnoticed..everywhere....and to be honest...hip hop is mad gay right now... Not to mention this economic "crisis" that we are going through doesn't really help things.

But in conclusion i think things will be fine...atleast i hope so

I dont think hip hop is gay at all right now... plenty of good shit still dropping all the time... there aint no doggystyles and chronics cuz people would be bored of that and so people have moved on... now its just convincing labels that the artist is bringing something fresh yet still dope to the table and take a chance on putting out their album for fans to buy as opposed to making them drop mixtape after mixtape to try and get a buzz and then maybe doing something about it... The only way for the labels to make money is to sell albums not to have albums getting pushed back and replaced by mixtapes and shit.... also making cds worth buying as opposed to downloading... maybe have exclusive shit that cant be passed around by downloaders.... But yeah I keep hearing good shit coming out and so I dont have (too much of) a problem with how hip hop is right now...

fuck all this "keeping it real" & "fuck the radio".

Jay Rock knows; went out, got Wayne, got a mainstream track going. i live in NY & i hear All My Life on the radio all the time.

i got freinds who dont even know who Crooked I is & some who think Xzibit is only the host of Pimp My Ride lol; but 90% of those people know All My Life.

is it because of Wayne? hell yeah, but thats what they gotta do. not saying all get Wayne, but just get something bangin on the radio.

enough of these mixtapes, only 10,000 people ever hear.

the west has more potential than any other coast or region.

Game needs to start promoting other artists & making names for them instead of acting like he has to keep the coast breathin. look at Chamillionaire for example, he throws mixtapes & even on his albums, just reppin other Texas artists. tryna give them a name & let people know who they are. Game doesnt do shit lol. on LAX, Game had no one other than big name artists all over that shit.

Game throws up the W but could help it more.

finally, Dre needs to stop depriving Bishop from dropping lol.

I can't but feel their is a lot of behind the scenes hate towards the west in the industry.the west has lots of talent more so then the other regions.but the west also has a reputation an infamous one.they are scared to have another deathrow situation.I do agree that the west fails to help out new artists like the south does.I never understood why game doesn't put his own artists on his albums.someone like Clyde Carson could easily move units he's got the total package as an artist

Its all timing to me. I like West Coast hip hop just as much now as I did 15 yrs ago. The way I see it is, we allow ourselves to view the West the same way others (who we say are bullshit) do. Growin up out here, i know how it was 15 yrs ago and the whole world was caught up on some West Coast shit. We WAS the main attraction back then. So just like others got caught up in the hype....so did muthafuckas on the Westcoast. Now that the West aint selling records...we allow ourselves to view the music itself as being worse, when really...the marketing of that music is worse. The West was as big a trend setter as there ever was in Hip Hop, but it seems like now the West is willing to role over and just allow the South and East to control shit. Our radio stations aint shit, our fans now aint shit. The East didnt take over after the West because of their artists alone, it was because their major radio stations and media made it happen. The same thing goes for the South. Westcoast rappers get no real support out here, other then in the hoods. You only gonna sell so many records in the hood.

dj muggs legend, planet asia been spittin but hooked up wit a legend and they did what they had to do on a indie level.

im jus sayin the new cats or old cats that havent been put on, dont need to rely on the OG's to get put on

and you rite, other regions aint got shit on us, but we lettin them take our style and rap and run wit it!
