it's looking like i will land a job with the US government

most likely in Homeland Security and Border Patrol administration...........but if that doesn't come through I'm in the process for the Social Security Administration

2. border patrol entails more than just catching cornholios and sending them back, it's a lot of customs work, like drugs, guns, and automobiles. plus i'm in the process for administrations...not a field agent.

unless you work for yourself you're always going to be getting the shaft. might as well receive quality benefits on top of base pay that is guaranteed to increase. plus you have job security and are guaranteed national holidays off.
