I know many of y'all don't check the outbound section but am sure are curious to see what's up with my boy Rain. rumors are saying he's the upcoming Dr. Dre protege. Thought I'd give y'all an update with some shit he dropped recently that y'all missed cause its in outbound.

i just think he ain't saying things so he dont mess up a situation. im not saying dude is gonna sign with dre, he's just more keeping quiet than anything.

i'm just saying he was very hesitant to speak on the situation. that tells me something.

signing with dre is probably a dream come true for some artists but they gotta be smart and look past the initial appeal, thinking about the long term prospects. by now everyone must realise that unless they are savvy with the contract they are most probably gonna be doing stuff behind the scenes and could be sitting on the shelf for years, effectively damaging their solo careers. joell ortiz is the best example of how to fuck with aftermath. this rain dude is pretty cool though.

the best thing about Rain is that think back to listening to Game/Bishop Lamont before Dre got heavily involved. That seems to be the stage Rain is at now. Again, I am NOT saying Rain is gonna become protege's like Game/Lamont did, but Rain (at that specific stage) talent wise is way ahead of Game/Lamont were at that times in their careers.

I can't see how or why Dre is gonna sign (another) protege as he keeps dropping proteges and other dudes and he struggles to finish his own damn album.
