Yup the sample is cleared and everything, quik got the ok from the travel channel and Andrew Zimern himself..
Here's what he said bout the sample..

Hey Playa

Travel Channel called me last week to say that DJ Quick, yes THE one and only O.G. DJ Quick is sampling my dialogue from the Morocco episode to open his new single Hey Playa’….that is ridiculously cool…now if I can only figure out a way to get myself in the video…

and heres the link for the source..

Here's the sample for "Hey playa"  it starts at 2:10

Lol, thats great!

WOOW, first one is pure greatness!!!!! 8) those drums!

The second one is strange...but sounds interesting :)

hopefully quik clear the sample

Those will sound good in CDQ, I'm sure...at least they can't do worse than Fixxers so everything is better than that.  :)

The Fixxers sounded better than this shit. Both songs sounds like Fixxers vibe + tropical beats.

Okay? You do realize that Quik isn't exactly a household name, people don't know everything about him. Its been like 7 years since he's had anything mainstream.

indeed i doubt that many people outside this forum could name the track that quik produced for jay-z off the top of their heads...

It's a shame that track one of Quik's worst; probably the weakest track on the Black Album.

yeah. i wouldn't say thats one of the weaker tracks on the black album though. i really like it, different kind of sound for quik and flipped the sample nicely.

The hook ruined it; I would've preferred to see Jigga rip the 'California' beat from Trauma - that was originally submitted for the Black Album.
