Why do NBA games always play Dr. Dre instrumentals?

I have been watching NBA games forever, but I've noticed that for the last few years, most stadiums tend to play Dre's beats throughout the game...even when the games are in Texas, or Toronto, as the Lakers game is tonight.

I usually hear beats from the 2001 era, such as What's the difference and The Watcher, and The Knoc....and I've heard tracks he's done for 50 and various other artists.

Do you all know if there has been any contract that Aftermath or Universal has ever signed with the NBA?

Maybe because there's not much bass in the songs and it can be played cleanly over a PA system.  Also, they're beats that the majority of the public knows.  I don't know.

Why the hell do you think?  I'm gonna take a wild guess and say because they are dope popular beats...I don't know thats just a shot in the dark though.

Come on, no need for the words like that. But nah..they don't just play his major songs...it's a million songs they could play, but I hear like the same exact ones at almost every arena nationwide, and songs like "Knoc" were FAR from a hit, and "What's the difference" was on an obvious classic, but was just an album cut. But there have been plenty of major songs that came out since these beats did that I never hear. I was just curious to if he had signed any deal with them, since big deals like that are always going down.

Really though, it's cause sports fans are usually slow with anything art related so they like repetitive stuff they've heard a million times before. I don't want to use the "fucking retard" word, but here in America we love our sports and we did elect Bush, twice.

I noticed while watching UK tv we get alot of Dre beats in the background especially on anything hip hop related. Heard 2001, GRODT, Eminem, Cali Love etc. But the weirdest ones are beats from Dretox - i know its not Dre but ive heard the beat for There They Go on the radio while the djs were speaking like last year
