Is STILL Jordan's double nickel a few games after coming back from baseball.  That Knicks team was no joke with their defense, and back then the crowd definitely did not cheer opposing player.  If you watched it (and likely few of you did), then you know.

Having said that, Lebron's triple double was the first one with 50 points in 34 years.  If that ain't historic, I don't know what is.


If anything, we should all appreciate how dope Lebron's and Kobe's games were----two of the best individual performances in a long ass time.  Which one was better?  It all depends on which style you like more.  I'd go for 9 less pts, 8 more assists, and 10 extra boards any day, but some of ya'll are all about points,and 61 is a crazy amount.

Either way, celebrate it.  But I bet Lakers fans who were claiming Kobe's 61 menat he was better than  Lebron are feeling a little foolish and scrambling for excuses. 

How about these:  -LBJ's team didn't win by as much
                           -he shot a worse percentage
                           -he only hit 85% of his ft's, not 100%
                           -Kobe could've had 10 more rebounds and 8 more assists IF HE WANTED to


Fact is, what LEbron did is crazy considering it was a response to what Kobe did.  Gotta love the competition and I PRAY to the basketball god's its CAVS-Lakers in the finals.

Jordan's 55 came on 37 attempts, with the 3 point line much closer. Kobe's 61 came on 31 attempts, with the 3 point line much farther. Jordan was running a lay-up drill on John Starks' single coverage. Kobe was making amazing shot after amazing shot on double and sometimes even triple team defense. Please GTFOH. Lakers beat the Knicks by 9, Cavs did it by 4 (big difference).

Spike Lee & the ESPN poll (80.3% of the vote) said that LeBrons game was more impressive (i know it doesnt support Kobe's case so it doesnt mean anything to you lol).

he had 10 assists which contributed to his TEAMS (yes, basketball is a team sport) points.

getting in the paint & getting his team rebounds & dont give me that he stole the last one; its still more than Kobe.

Kobe isnt leading the league in scoring, but that still makes him the best right?

ok,  so lets use you for example. If you had hundreds of people (i say hundreds because you are not famous) who did not like you...at what point would you realize that YOU were the problem?  People misuse the word "hate". Everytime somebody doesnt like someone else its, "why you hatin?" LOL. Kobe is an unbelievable player, no doubt. Ive been saying, he's the second best 2 guard ever. But when SO many people say the same thing about your game or your mentality (in Kobe's case, his lack of leadership skills), its time to understand that maybe...just maybe, theyre right. like i said, in other regular season games Kobe goes 24, 6 & 7 & everyone says on this board he played better than a guy who went 30, 2 & 0 (for example).

but when its turned around and LeBron is one with all the stats & Kobe is just the one with the scoring, the tables automatically turn? how doesnt that make any sense? lol.

yeah, LeBron is running every play but Kobe touched the ball at least once on 90% of the Lakers posessions.

in the 4th quarter with 10 mintues left on the clock, there was not one posession where he didnt have the ball for at least 4 seconds of each posession (a bit exaggerated, but not by much lol).
