people who say halo is garbage or whatevs are people who are bks at halo, own a ps3, or rather play cod, gow, etc...and i think all these reasons relate to you hip hop aint dead. i think halo is the perfect example of a competitive game, and that's why it's the flagship game for MLG and usually the number 1 played game on xbox live. don't get me wrong cod, gow, or even shadowrun could possibly be bigger and become the flagship of MLG, but until then...halo ftw

im going to have to disagree. I just dont like 1st person shooters. Halo was alright then got really repetitive. Same as COD.

Socom US Navy Seals confrontation is a much better competitive online 3rd person shooter game. The maps are much better with greater detail. It gives you the option to play in different games with different rules, where as halo and cod just throw you in a room and its always respawn. How can it be competitive when its respawn?

Also, socom has actual clan battles! You can be on a clan practise and compete with your clan. But when it comes to halo or cod, having a clan tag is pretty much just for show.

halo 2 had clans but i don't know why they didn't incorporate it into halo 3...but the games we are discussing are totally different dude, and how is halo repetitive? maybe the campaign, but multiplayer is so much different and the game mechanics. some would say halo 2 and halo 3 are completely different games and that's why some people prefer halo 3 over halo 2 or vice versa. and when i talk about halo 3, i'm talking about it competitively at a high level, not just online. i doubt you can LAN with socom, LANNING is so much different than playing online.  halo 3 requires real team work, they have to come up with strats and call outs. the way i see cod, socom, and other games like those is whoever has the best set up/camping spots usually wins the game. how is that competitive? with halo 3, you need team work to break set ups and control bases. you can play different game types in halo, if you're looking for a quick match then head into matchmaking, but if you're mad at that, just invite some buddies and play customs. i don't see the problem with respawn?  btw (by the way) ftw(for the win) mlg (major league gaming) cod(call of duty) gow(gears of war) anything else? do you need me to spell them out?

Contact Sony, They will fix your ps3 if you had it less than 1 year maybe 2 years. But if futureshop dosent exchange it, call Sony and see what they can do. Im pretty sure you only pay like 50 bucks maybe less and they will fix your PS3.
