oh btw, for the thread starter....I would say the answer is, without a shadow of a doubt....the South.  They have easily got to be the worst rappers to ever pick up a mic.  There are a few exceptions no doubt.  But id as soon listen to Mickey Mouse rap as I would most of the ho-cake artists come out of the South.

 I think it's because the average fan doesn't care. Most of them are more interested in the music than in doing their homework on someone's hood files. Think about it. Dre was never a gangsta. Tupac, Snoop, Eazy-E, were all getting love from certain blocks but they weren't gang bangers. Lil Wayne didn't sell a million copies of his album because people thought he was a Blood. I think that was just some extra shit he created to help him with credibility but who knows? Rap has always been entertainment. I've never really bought that anyone of these guys are doing what they rap about. The real killers and drug dealers were the guys from their neighborhood. If you are really a person who is committing crimes like this, would it make sense for you to create a public image that people will associate with this? Not to say that these cats are soft but it's no way you can be doing all this and then run around and talk about it.

i think it depends on the person homie.  if youre from the same city, more importantly the same hood as some of these dudes then you know if theyre fakin it or not. I always thought it was fuckin silly when people would say "real gangbangers would be out killin people, not making albums". Thats bullshit lol.  I known gangbangers that went to college, to the military, etc....come back and still bang.  Its not tv, there is no perfect mold to a gangsta.  The way i see it tho, is that the "average fan" has changed. The "average fan" now, is either a female or a 12 yr old kid.  Aint no grown males goin out and buyin a Ying Yang Twins CD lol.  Unless they buyin cus they bitch likes it.
