DJ QUIK GETS HIS “GROOVE” ON

West Coast legends DJ Quik and Kurupt have teamed up on a project called “The Blaqkout.” Quik supplied the beats and of course, Kurupt did his thing lyrically. The two managed to finish 12 tracks despite their hectic schedules.  “When he would get off of tour with Snoop and took a break, he’d come to the studio and record.” Quik explains “Quickly too. Such a professional. He’s somebody I’ve always wanted to work with. It seems our paths didn’t cross enough in the past but now we actually sat down and did a record.” Says the platinum producer who hopes the project will inspire other rappers from the west to hook up and create something big. “You might want to see a Dr. Dre and Ice Cube do another record again. You might wanna see Snoop and Cube do a record cause its your favorite people and they’re jellin’. Ain’t no tellin’ what kind of music will come out of that.” says Quik. The “Blaqkout” album, described as a party record, will be released on his “Mad Science” label on April 28th. If you’re in the Los Angeles Area, be sure to check out “Quik’s Grooves” at The Key Club in Hollywood. Him and his band will have jam sessions the last Sunday of each month starting March 29th thru the end of the year.

Yesir, it show's that they're not lookin to just fill it with filler's..
but to put out a good quality album.. it's That Quality over Quantity
on this one here..

12 tracks of heat is all we really need, I'm not gonna pick up any leaks though, I just want to bump this beginning to end first day it drops.

BTW... I don't think it's getting pushed back, doesn't seem like there is any reason to think it would.

if there is no crap on it; that's a risk with such a short album. 2-3 bad songs ruins it imo.

yeah, thats what i was thinking, already didn´t felt the other track wich leaked, although it was a bad quality... so if you got 12 tracks, and there are 2 bad tracks on it and 2 which are ok the album will be avarage,

plus i would like to hear more from quik beats, i mean trauma is like 4 years ago?? an trauma was already about 45 min long or something
