Snoop Dogg has a September release planned for his next album, Malice in Wonderland. Dr. Dre is involved. "We're in the process of trying to help him with the Detox record and working on mine at the same time." Snoop called the sound "so hood" and hinted at a tour. His new show, "Dogg After Dark," premieres next week.

AngryApe) Jem has revealed she wants to collaborate with Eminem on a future track. The singer has already sent a song to the Detroit rapper, in the hope they can team up in the studio.
"It's a track called 'You Will Make It' and I sent it to him with a note saying: 'I think we should hook up'." Jem tells the Daily Star.

"The track is about losing someone and I wrote it the day after his friend Proof was murdered.

i'm not sure how reliable this source is but,...

the news sounds good for snoop workin with dre on his next solo album, and that he's releasin a solo album this september. hopefully it wont be anythin like his last 4 wack albums, and more like snoop's music from 2000 and before.

Okka

I hope Dre will be producin on Snoop's new album. The title sounds wack though, "Malice In Wonderland" :-\ (it doesn't really matter as long as the music is good.)

BTW...

Are there any no-dj versions of Bishop Lamont's "Oh My God" and "It Hurts" floating around the net?

I thought this was the name of his new country album or something he was planning? We'll see...

i dont think snoop can afford to do any more wack experimentations anymore. ego trippin's poor sales was a wakeup call.
he need to stick to what made him famous, and what the fans want if he wants to sell platinum again.
if people want a pop , country or techno album, then they will buy from artist's who specialise in that type of music, and not a gangster rapper tryin to do country music.
people dont buy snoop's music for him to make anything other than gangsta rap.

That's for sure, now he has the possibility too...no major label, can release what the fuck you want if you go the independent way. The only question is if Snoop gives a fuck to go independent. IF Detox gets released and Snoop & Dre are back  together, It propably would boost his sales.

The problem Dre is facing with DETOX right now is which route to take. A lot of money has been spent on making this album and with the way sales/fans are today... Dre is very hesitant on the direction. There are more than enough completed tracks... but Jimmy is pressurring him to sell which is why Dre has been working with Lil' Wayne, T.I., Fergie as well as creating pop-commercial beats for the album.

so allhiphop is a credible source now?

besides, what Bruce Williams said about Detox was bullshit; how could he know what Detox is going to be like when he's not really around any more?
he said in his book, that he's not going to watch Dre struggling to make an album, again.

I'm not basing it on that. This is coming from a source very close to Dre (who is still with him). But that doesn't mean all hope is lost. As we already know, Dre has changed his mind millions of times over the years regarding DETOX and I'm pretty sure he might do it again before he releases the album. But DETOX is done... a few versions of it is done in fact. But now it's about which version, which direction, how complex, how simple, how street, how commercial, how different, how much will it sell, will it appeal to every dimononation of fans, will it work with his age, will it succeed in all of these things and still live up to people's expectation...etc.

Shit... if I were him, I'd release 3 versions of the album... like a triple album, haha. But we all know that won't happen.

What about Crack A Bottle being number 1 on Billboard ? That should tell him that he still has a loyal fanbase and that he can suceed without compromising the quality of the record (the production on the song is definetly not corny, actually quite musical imo and as the track itself, only the chours is suspect).

Let's hope it does show him that. Part of the reason Em and 50 are coming out before Dre is Jimmy Iovine, building anticipation for DETOX to the young radio market, and testing the waters to see what fans will say about what he does for Em and 50 and if Em and 50 can bring that Aftermath hype back to the forefront. If it works out... Dre will have more clarity on DETOX, reuniting with Snoop and how to use DETOX also as a promotion for Bishop Lamont (since Dre still wants him to succeed Snoop and Em as his "main protoge").
