It really just allows the iPhone to bring out it's full capabilities. Changing skins all the time for the iPhone.....change the different alert tones....record video..........jailbreaking it installs another app called "Cydia" which is like an underground "App" program, but with all the programs that Apple just hasn't approved for one reason or the other (all of them are safe for your phone though).

It's very easy to jailbreak, and the whole process only takes about 10 minutes or so. If you want to jailbreak & need some help feel free to hit me up.
