British-born MC Daniel Dumile found success in the early ‘90s as a part of the hip hop trio KMD, but after his record label dropped him and his brother was killed, the rapper fell into a deep depression. Broke, confused and practically homeless, Dumile wandered the streets and plotted his revenge. Years later he reemerged as MF Doom, a mask-wearing microphone marauder hell-bent on revenge against the industry that chewed him up and spit him out. Since then, Doom has never been seen without his mask.
