Damn, that sucks.

Microsoft always seem to release half finished products. Their OS's consistantly suck for the first year or two until they make patches, so I assumed the same would be true for their gaming systems. I'm glad I waited a couple years.

Can anyone tell me about the rechargable batteries and charging station? Does it work well? My controller started disconnecting in the middle of a game and I can't be having that.

hey low key is that controller disconnecting problem with the 360? i started getting it a lot with both my controllers and finally figured out why it was doing it. hella annoying, nothing to do with the batteries either. just a bad design flaw in the way the battery pack attaches onto the main part of the pad being slightly loose sometimes. i used a bit of selotape to secure down the battery compartement tightly and the pads have been 100% since then.

the problem drove me up the wall for ages.

Funny you say that because I put a piece of tape on in after I put in new batteries. 8)

This is why I hesitated to buy a 360. I'm glad I did, but you don't see the PS3 and the Wii having such widespread problems.

Smaller GPU, 150W power supply, and 256MB on board flash memory.

nobody else seemed to have the controller prob as much as me although i've seen them 'randomly' disconnect at other people's houses too. both my controllers are black maybe it isn't such an issue with the white ones for some reason. really bad design though.

I got one charging kit for my 2 controllers. It takes a couple hours to charge, but you can play at the same time, it's usb connectivity. Works great for me. You can play for 40 hours i think with one charge. The controller is also telling you when to plug it before it disconnects. You can see the green led flash in a round scheme on the controller, when you hit this button you can aslo see the power left in your battery

Have no prob with the controllers. I like the shape and the disposition of sticks, it fits well in my hands. I think the ps3 controllers are too small, and the buttons are too close. I guess i'll get use to it once i buy my ps3

its the little metal connector on the pad that connects to the battery pack - real nightmare. i guess most pads are ok but i've certainly seen the random disconnecting on a variety of controllers. very bad design.

the ergonomics of it are a different kettle of fish though...
