Has it happened to you yet? I heard ps3 and xbox 360 fucked up.

Xbox has a wayyyy bigger failure rate....I know tons of people with PS3 since launch and never heard of anyone having there PS3 die on them....But I know like 3 people who have Xbox and all of them got the red ring.

Does the ring of death just happen random?
Or is it because peep's play it 24/7 without shutting it off and expect a machine to never overheat.
 

Just something I always wondered.
Play on player's, but get some sunshine once in a while.

the red ring is like when your system overheats, but it happens to 1/3 of all Xbox's no matter what, at some point.

happened to most of my freinds like a year and a half - two years into having one.

but you just send it into Mircosoft & they will fix it for you or send you a brand new one, for free; but it takes a month!

my freind got it once & they tried to fix his & sent it back & it happened again, now he has to wait to get a new one. so if it happens to you i would recommend asking for a new one lol.

I know a guy at work, 28 years old, fat gut, still lives with his mom, he plays 360 all day and he's proud of it

I feel sorry for him to be honest... he's real nice but quite clueless..

for some reason he's almost 30 and still hasn't put his life into perspective, still shooting imaginery figures on the screen 

he even took a day off work (Friday) to go to a video game party.... now if that isn't some shit....

original xbox with zephir architecture have a rate of 33% of failure, newer models with the falcon got approx. 5% of failure. They talk about less than 1% with the future jasper models and a drop in prices.

Ps3 have better results in %. I know only 3 persons who own it and the 3 had the same problem with the lens. I dont know what the problem really is. I was talking with an expert the other day and he told me it was because the lens of the ps3 is made of plastic instead of glass and is not designed to run all the time, that's one of the reason why the system copy most of the game on the hard drive. I highly doubt this is true, to me it sounds like bs to sell more advanced warranties. The problem must something else, they say the ps3 is the best blu ray driver for less than 1000$ so i dont see why it would be equiped with a cheap lens.

if it takes more than 2 weeks you should call and complain they're gonna give you a wireless head set or a free game. My friend got 2 games like that
