and if you read the dubcnn interview, joey says that they are all concentrating on their solo efforts, and that a slaughterhouse album realistically will not come out this year.

"We all have solo projects coming, I got my album dropping February 24th, Royce is coming in April/May, Joell Ortiz is coming July/August and Crooked is coming shortly."

Then they will prob saying that there each touring and are trying to get together to finish it off until it eventually doesnt happen.

  Because the wait was for an actual album. Not what is essentially another download only mixtape. The fans want "physical product that they can purchase". Crooked I is very aware of this as he's addressed in several interviews. Putting the album up for free download isn't a bad idea but without an actual pressed album in stores, it's kind of counterproductive. Tech does the "free download" thing but also offers the albums so as to say, if you liked what you hear, you can make a purchase and support the artist.

Leaking the song a track at time for free was already done. By going this route, the perception of the record is going to be the same as "Block Obama 2" or whatever project he dropped like this before. He needs to start pressing these things up and selling them already.

 This might not have been too bad an idea if he had just got on with it, after he made this announcement.  But he still hasn't even dropped the first track.  And does once a week include tracks from the album that have already leaked, or has he decided to not include those tracks on the album?
