Trevor Ariza starting is a GREAT thing
« on: March 12, 2009, 10:10:05 PM »
I think that with Ariza starting now instead of Luke will help the Lakers out. Ariza deserves the spot and the Lakers are doing better now that Ariza is there. One month left, lets finish strong.

yea he was really hustling and provided a spark out the gate tonight

everyone came with the defense tonight (except defending those god damn 3's!!!!!)

if it weren't for the 3's keeping the Spurs within reach the second part of the 2nd half, you could almost call it a perfect game

that play at the end of the 3rd quarter fucked the game up... instead of an 11 point lead with 5 seconds left potentially making it 13

they let Parker shove Farmar out of bounds and that little fag comes back and gets one of those bullshit 3-point plays, cutting it to 8

then right away in the 4th quarter they hit a 3 and it's 5 just like that.... was really pissed at that point.... Lakers didn't back down though

that 3-pointer Kobe hit over Hill was sick....clutch.... I watched that on NBA.com like 10 times

Yeah it's a good by Walton ... he asked Phil not to start anymore... Ariza brings energy on D and playing with Kobe and Pau open  the floor for him so he can go to the basket ... Luke will help the ball movement in that 2nd unit which is horrible ... I hope we will get a better backup PG in the offseason , Farmar is just not the right player

Yeah you love to have a player like Ariza come off the bench but he definitely deserves the starting spot over Walton

another career game for Ariza... he's a real burst of energy

on another note, I'm concerned about what Phil Jackson does with the lineups

inserting Farmar, Vujacic, Walton, Powell at the same time is not a good idea

the other team takes total advantage and the game starts to spiral out of control

putting the worst 5 players on the floor at once is starting to get annoying

he needs to find some sort of mix... throw in Brown and Morrison, FUCK Vujacic, he's worthless

I would have Kobe rest with that lineup in, cut Vujacic's minutes and try your hardest to have Fish and Gasol on the floor together while Kobe's out.  Let the offense run through those two.  Phil should be able to manage it.  Just always make sure to have at least 2 of either Kobe, Gasol, Odom, or Fish on the floor at the same time.  The 4 you listed should NEVER be on the floor together, unless Kobe is with them...or the team is up by 30 with 2 minutes left. And even then, Id be worried lol.

^  yeah I was talking with my dad about the same thing today after the game

keep some sort of establishment on the floor...

Jackson had those 4 players on the floor at the same time today... it was a nightmare

We just need to find somebody else able to run the point guard position ... Farmar has talent but no B-Ball IQ , his decision making is just horrible ... and it's getting worst and worst , at his age he should improve , not falling off  :-X... and it's not a slump , he just ain't able to play the PG position on halcourt situations ...

Vujacic is just pathetic , I mean his only job is to knock down shots and he keeps bricking WIDE open looks ...

Josh is a serviceable backup , I like when he had some extended minutes with the 1st unit... of course he's not that good to be a leading factor of the 2nd unit ...

This 2nd unit is a huge pb ..  the only positive thing who could happened is having Bynum back ...

Powell does a good job, he just shouldn't be on the floor unless Odom or Kobe is around

certainly not with Farmar, Sasha and Luke

what's up with the 3 pointers?   anyone get a hint that they could maybe guard Terry today?

he had 7 of them and then he got another wide open look late and missed, luckily.... are they retarded?

the lakers have had problems guarding the 3 point range all year, and that was spillage from last year as well.
