really didn't like that album.. worst snoop album to me.. no dogg pound no nate dogg too much pharell and commercial shit.. what the fuck is doin' timberlake on a snoop album??!!! i don't mind snoop collaborate with others people but common'!!! ego trippin' was better "neva have to worry" is DOPE

Soopafly and Daz were on the album

Soopafly was featured and produced, no Daz on it though.

True and the soopafly track on it was by far the best on it

Didnt enjoy it, worse than ego trippin simply cause Press Play adds at least a 1.5 to any album  8)

I liked this one as much as Blue Carpet Treatment and it's better than Ego Trippin and Paid Tha Cost IMO.

The lack of a West Coast sound didn't bother me as much; Snoop needed the Neptunes at this point to keep him relevant in the public eye, and it worked with Drop It Like It's Hot being his biggest smash for years.
A lot of good tracks on R&G, but I can see how some e-crips weren't feelin it.

nah it stinks.
Snoop can't make decent albums on his own

i alway liked that album...it's way better then ego trippin'...why is everybody talking about it has no westcoast sound? i mean, it really don't have that much of gangsta-tracks on it but the production is really funky on the most jams..and that's what good westcoast-music is all about to me...funky shit!
yeah, it's a softer kind of funk on the most tracks but it's still good music, i even have to say that the beats on "blue carpet treatment" dissapointed me more on some parts
tracks like:

i love to give you light
bang out
ups & downs
the bidness
let's get blown
no thang on me
can you control ya ho
i'm thru with you (that's the track with daz on besides)
fresh pair of panties on
perfect
snoop do-g-g-
and even signs!!! (even it's justin timberlake on it)

...are dope as fuck...face it!

Half of those tracks are so average, Snoop has set a high standard with previous albums and this 1 gets nowhere near that standard

Nuff said, that's why the album was good.

lyrically on the album 'snoop d.o.g.g'. was him at his best on that album. most of the production was fluff. but it has some stand outs (3 or 4). snoop needs dre to guide his career musically because snoop seems to have too many yes men shook to tell him when his shit is wack. after tha last meal and tha eastsidaz, doggy'z angelz, and bad azz albums snoop's kinda been slippin'  he hasn't been the same.

even if albums like paid tha cost or R&G have some good tracks we definitively can't be satisfy from an artist like snoop.he has to bring more.as said before right if really needs dre to give him his sounds and not that neptunes bullshit etc.. every snoop records should be classics!!

Snoop didn't take 10 years to release R&G, and it's not like he's was following up Doggystyle
