IS BIGGIE REALLY THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME?

I aint tryin to hate on no rappers period and Biggie is one my favorite rappers. But i did feel that when they advertised the movie and they was saying he was the greatest rapper of all time, it was a slap in the face to a lot of great rappers including PAC, Slick Rick, Rakim, Ice Cube and the list goes on.

Me personally, i feel that who ever the greatest rapper of all time is depends on the ears of the listener. So wouldn't it have been better for them to say Biggie was one of the greatest rappers of all time? What yall think?

They're selling a movie. If he's good enough to where that title can be accepted. People might disagree but if he's good enough to be considered 1 of the greatest then they can say that. If they said it about Pac, it would be the same thing. If they said about Lil Wayne or Kanye? No. Everyone is going to have a different opinion based on something but Big could spit. He made some classic records. Obviously on a West Coast forum, cats are gonna be a little biased but if you have the intelligence to look at the situation objectively, Big really was that fucking good.

Yeah its all opinion based. I mean I love listening to Nas and he has always been my favorite rapper but over the last week I have listened to Jay-Z none stop and I now have my opinion that Jigga is the greatest rapper of all time. Its about opinions.

lol this fat nigga released one album in his whole career and his the GOAT? this fat nigga only made party/club songs and his the GOAT? how many introspective/sociallly concious songs did a fat nigga make? he just made commerecial bullshit wid lyrics bout bitches, drugs, materialism etc...

n how many songs did Biggie make in his life, 40-50?pac used to make that many songs a months.the average rapper makes that many songs over 2-3 months, unless his being lazy..

Na, he's not the greatest of all time and this is coming from someone who loved BIG's music. However, I think people got caught up in extreme hype back in '97, then he was killed and they never let go.

The reason why I don't feel that BIG is the GOAT is because I don't feel that all his music is timeless. He's got classics. However, to a brand new fan of Hip Hop, his music would sound very dated.
