J Flexx wrote California Love, Been There Done That, and Keep Their Heads Ringing - I would say with some help from Drauma who was Dr. Dre's other ghost writer. The punchlines are definitely cheesy, if J Flexx would have rapped them they would have sounded horrid but Dre has the right flow and tone to pull the wack ass lines off.

I always hoped someone other then Dre rocked this beat,
for me Dre does not have enough appeal to have the whole 4 or 5 min. by himself.
