This is another reason why I refuse to put $$ in bootleggers pockets. I'm better off just waiting for either (a) a bootleg leak, (b) WIDEawake to release the OFFICIAL version which will also be REMASTERED so that Crooked I can see some profit from it.

sure they are..i was thinking about this when i saw the other thread and somebody said that if wideawake puts out projects it will put an end to bootlegging DR stuff..they're recognizing that wideawake is not joking in putting out the unreleased music, so they try to make a quick buck off the music they have before it gets released officially

The ultimate advantage that WIDEawake has in this situation is having John Payne (former Death Row staff producer) remastering the original recordings.

Yeah, I think that will be the biggest advantage to the WIDEAwake release, sound quality. Not only that, but if they are in talks with Crooked and other artists then they have a better insight into which songs were truly going to be used on the album.

If you think about it, even if SHTTBG did drop, we wouldn't have got the Hutch version anyway, so if WIDEAwake puts out the album, I doubt we'll get it then. We'd probably get the Vegas version since that was the latest one.
