ok, I was at that show.. It was one of the best shows until all that shit happened and end it early. Heres what happened:Suga Free came out.. and everybody went crazy! they were performing do I love her. After they let Suga Free talk for a cool min. He had this Hypeman w/ him.. That had the loudest mic. U could hear him louder than u could hear Suga Free or Quik.. The whole time they were performing, me & the group I came with were all saying, fuck they need to get this wack ass hypeman off stage, and let Suga Free & Quik have their time to shine! Free did I'd rather give u my bitch.. and then they were gonna do Why U Bullshitin.. but the janky cd player was playin the music slow, so Quik told him to upload the cd to his mac.. which would take a couple of mins.. Cuz he told Suga Free that he's not gonna let him perform that song unless it sounds right. So there was like 2 mins of downtime, when of course Suga Free would take it to do all his pimpin talk w/ the audience.. He was pretty funny, but this is when I fellt the hypeman was feelin himself wayy too much cuz while Suga free was tryna talk, the other dude kept saying his own shit.. I was in the back and I was startin to get pissed cuz all I could hear was this other dude. So anyway, they get the music ready, and they start doing Why U Bullshitin, after a lil while into it.. Quik goes over to the dude, and says something to him, the dude says somethin back.. at this point I focus my attention back on Suga Free rappin, and I look back 3 seconds later and all I see is Quik swingin on the dude. and all these people comin in to break everybody up.I'm guessin Quik went and told him to either give up the mic or stop talkin over while Suga Free is rappin, and I guess dude didn't like hearing that and said something back to quik... whatever it was Quik musthave not liked what he heard. The show was over. Damn, before all that BS, the show was fuckin awesome, Daz & Kurupt were out there doing all theyre old classic shit, like What Would u do.. Rage Came out did Afro Puffs, Westurn Union came out, B-Real came out.. Did a whole lil Cypress set... Raekwon, Ricky Bell ... I'm mad cuz I'm sure he had at least one or more special guests that didnt even get to come out... In my opinion that one Hypeman fucked upt the show for everybody

But damn, I really been wanting to hear "Hey Playa" in good quality! I bet live woulda been tha shit! And I guess even after they do the last song on the playlist.. He woulda came back after leaving the stage to do 1 or 2 more songs as an encore performance. This was like my 4th time seeing Quik live, and I dunno if any of u guys have ever seen him live, but he always makes sure the audio sounds right. Last night, he was especially on it.. There was one good mic he actually liked(mic #3 he called it the star mic) and he kept tellin the engineer to switch the other mics or change the decibals or some shit to make it sound right. Even after Raekwon did his first song,(C.R.E.A.M),U couldn't really hear his words.. Rae was just about ask the engineer to turn up his mic, but before he finished his question, Quik had already been backstage and got another mic fixed to the right level and gave it to Rae. Then he did Incarcerated Scarfaces.. and it sounded good!Earlier in the night, while Quik was performing Quik is the name, then at the part the Dj just scratches all crazy there was a camera man on stage blocking the audience tryna get a good shot of the Dj scratching, and Quik told him to get off the stage cuz he was blocking everybody from seeing. He stopped the show and asked the audience if theyre tired of seeing hip hop shows w/ 30 guys on stage jus standing around! cuz there were a gang of guys jus standing around to each side of the stage. He was like, all u guys need to get off the stage.. dudes sittin on top of my speakers, u guys standing in front of my band... Your blocking the crowd from really hearing the music... He told everybody to get tha fuck off the stage! Haha.. It was pretty dope to me.I think he really wanted to put on a great show that night... and that hypeman probably irrated the shit outta him, cuz I know I was annoyed.. He probably that mic #3 haha. And he was feelin himself way too much and didnt' wanna give it up!
