It's been a quiet start to 2009 so far for B.Y.I./Interscope artist Omar Cruz. Up to this point all the new material from BYI Entertainment has come from his labelmate Rome.

2008 saw the release of what was dubbed his albums first single featuring Frankie J. To The Top produced by Julian Bunneta was released back in May 2008 and followed up October with the music video. In between then all the new music we heard was the official release on Dubcnn of the acclaimed Omar Cruz - The Cruzifixion mixtape in Untagged format.

Today we are back with a brand new record from Omar Cruz aptly titled "Back At It." The track is produced by NOLA and can be listened to or downloaded below.

This guys been outta the scene for like 6 months. The last time I heard of him he dropped that "To The Top" video and was on CNN. Why do all these new guys put out some hot shit, catch a nice buzz and then just out of no where disapear, do they think that's helping them or something, its only hurting them and making them irrelevent when the next guy steps up!!!

this aight, better than that monster track, but still no where near as good as anything on 'blow' or 'the cruzafixion'.......i really have very little interest in dude anymore, and at one time i was really feelin' his music, but not anymore........when your PRODUCER is making better songs then you are its time to go back to the drawing board and reallly take a look at the direction your going.....i guess thats what a major label influence will do to an artist, sad really

i cant compare him to rome.. omar imo, is more seasoned behind the mic then rome is..  since interscope is doin nothin at this point with all this fiscal shit happenin, i bet he was like fuck rap, im makin $$ off of pimpiando.
