Bishop Lamont Still Signed to Aftermath - Blasts DJ Vlad!
« on: April 05, 2009, 10:40:09 AM »
Bishop Lamont has vehemently denied all reports that he’s no longer signed to Aftermath Records, the label owned by Dr. Dre.

“Last time I checked, I’m still on Aftermath – that’s news to me,” the rapper said in an online video. “This isn’t the first time this has happened.”

The rapper was signed to Dr. Dre in 2005 and has gone on to be one of the promising talents in Hip-Hop.

“N***as are gonna do what they gotta do to get attention,” Lamont said. “Yes, I’m still on Aftermath. I’m the last dude on Aftermath so its an honor and a tribute.”

“I’m already down with 50,” Lamont stated, recognizing the speculation that he may have transitioned to G-Unit Records. “That’s already family.”

The rapper from Carson, CA said that he saw both sides of the gossip.

“I ain’t looking at it like a negative, [but] I just hate when people try to pull out rumors and s**t.” he said.

In related news, Bishop Lamont said that he would no longer comment on the status of Dr. Dre’s highly-anticipated, and long-delayed Detox album.

“You know what, I always get in trouble for saying too much, because all those records were getting leaked,” he admitted. “A lot of those record you already had [and they] got demolished. So, I gotta be quiet, because I don’t want to get in trouble.”

During a recent video chat, Lamont clarified the situation and also called out DJ Vlad who allegedly started the rumor.
“There’s a guy named bitch ass DJ Vlad that started that rumor,” Lamont stated before adding, “I’m still on Aftermath.”
When rumors of the departure hit the Internet, some speculated that the Carson, CA native may end up on 50 Cent’s G-Unit Records. According to Lamont, he’s already putting in work with G-Unit. “I’m already down with 50,” Lamont said.
Bishop Lamont also stated that any beef that he had with The Game is squashed and didn’t rule out a future collaboration.
“There is no beef with Game. One day you may see us on a record togethe

yeah he is annoying however he makes good music so it`s all good to me..
and i think he shouldnt beef with Game. Game supports new artists (nipsey, jay rock) so maybe one day Bishop will be able to go on tour with Game. it would be good for him.

it was interesting to see how some posters were basically cheering when the so called "news" was posted.
they didn't even bother to think about the source, it's like they were really anticipating "news" about bishop lamont getting dropped, for a long time.

there's a difference between not liking a certain artist and wanting him/her to fail.
the 2nd category are stans.

i don't get it; you're not winning anything when Bishop isn't able to drop an album on aftermath.

IMO one of the main reasons they might hate and always will hate is that (in a way) dre chose bishop over game and if they worship game then it hurts them

yeah, that proves that those people aren't true Game fans.

sure, the Game himself dissed Bishop back in 2006,
but eventually he found out that he was wrong for doing that and he moved on.

now it's time for the stans to move on
