He was in the greatest television show of all time, The Wire, you should see him in that.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch/v/BPS9YKGaKQE" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/watch/v/BPS9YKGaKQE</a>

He played a Baltimore drug kingpin.

Edit: If you're interested in the show, don't see any more clips or search for clips on youtube since there are obviously tons of spoilers there.

Ah, so you've checked out Season 1?  It just keeps on getting better and better.  The show really peaks at Season 3 and 4 though, it has some of the most powerful scenes I've ever seen on TV or Film.

I was also surprised when I found out he was British, after checking out some interviews after I finished seeing The Wire.

LOL at the Wire being the greatest series ever :D

Lets see if in 30 years it is cherished and looked upon as a masterpiece like The Sopranos will be.  30 years from now The Sopranos will be looked at like The Godfather, in a year or two if not already The Wire will be completely forgotten (even though I think its good however to put it on the same level of Sopranos is absurd)

You obviously don't know what you're LOL'ing at here.. but then again you think Joe Budden is the best rapper alive.  :P

I've seen all seasons of both The Wire and The Sopranos (I strongly doubt you have), and I can't call it.. both masterpieces, but in different worlds/genres.
Obviously Sopranos got the mainstream on lock, mafia stories always get a buzz/hype for being mafia-themed alone.

The Wire seems to be more of a sub-culture phenomenon in U.S.. it's huge in Norway though.
Sopranos is the best-selling series in Norway, closely followed by The Wire, and then Prison Break, Grey's Anatomy & Desp. Housewife's on 3/4/5th.

The Wire is more demanding.. you can't just sit down and watch 1 random episode and leave the couch satisfied, it takes more commitment than other shows.

The Wire will not be forgotten.  It's a snapshot of what an urban city looks like in our time.  It's basically a thesis on what's wrong with some of our urban cities, The Sopranos is still classic but there is no need to laugh at the idea of The Wire being the greatest of all time.

I have seen every single episode of The Sopranos over five times but I admit I have not seen every episode of The Wire however I have seen enough to know that it's a great show just not on the level of Sopranos but then again nothing is.  Sopranos takes more commitment that any other show, if you jump in randomly and watch the 4th episode from season 3 for example, I can assure you that will be watching the next few episodes that follow right away.

Yes Jome I think Joe Budden is the best rapper alive, name someone else who is better?  Please dont say Saigon LOL

Just suggesting that Budden is better than Sai is laughable..  But hey, it's your personal fav rapper, so you're bias.

Doesn't look like you're commited.. more like you've seen some random episodes.
Until you buy and watch all 5 seasons on DVD, you're not in a position to state anything about it in regards of being on level with Sopranos.  ;)

The Wire took 60 hours to tell you a story about Baltimore, that's a huge commitment from the viewer.  It's not about a single character, it's not about a family, it's not about a crime organization, it's not about Avon Barksdale, it's not about Omar, it's not about McNulty...it's about Baltimore.  The Sopranos paved the way for amazing TV shows, but The Wire perfected it.
